What has become one of the largest and most important cannabis industry events, MJBizCon is only days away.

This year is special because MJBizCon has been proclaimed MJBizCon Week by the Board of Clark County Commissioners and the City of Las Vegas.

We’ve listed some tips to help you make the most out of MJBizCon Week.

Pre- MJBizCon

This event is the largest and busiest cannabis event in the world. Before you walk into the conference you want to have a clear idea of your goals. Here are a few questions to have in mind:

Who do I want to meet?

What do I want to see?

What do I want to learn?

MJBizCon is a weekend full of panels, booths, networking, and more. Make sure to utilize your MJBizCon Agenda and the Attendee Planner to be the most efficient with your time. Better yet make sure to download the MJBizCon App, which gives you the tools to view maps, guest speakers, booths, and much more all in the palm of your hand. The app even allows you to create your own agenda that you can review throughout the conference. Google Calendar is also a great way to plan your day and to meet with someone. Send your colleague a Google Invite as a reminder to meet up to see a panel together.

Spend some time studying the floor plan and take note of some booths you plan to visit.

If you want to meet one of the panel speakers, try sending them an email a message on LinkedIn as a heads ups.

Take business cards. Take as many business cards as you can because there will be thousands of people. More importantly, make sure to have a LinkedIn account set up to share with people you meet at the conference.

Like any conference guest speakers, time may be moved around or event changes might be made, so don’t be so hard on your self and make the most out of the event.

At MJBizCon

This is the biggest cannabis industry conference in the world so be prepared to walk. Make sure to bring comfortable shoes, but look business casual. Don’t bring the running shoes you wore at the gym for the past three years.

The last thing you want is your phone dying while you are recording a speaker or exchanging LinkedIn information. Charge your phone the night before and take a portable charger so you don’t have to worry about your battery.

Make time to mingle at MJBizCon lunches and cocktail gatherings. Spend time wandering around the conference. You never know who you might run into.

Don’t burn yourself out. MJBizCon is known for it’s after parties and after event gatherings, so try to save some energy to attend these events.

Post-MJBizCon

The event is over woohoo you did it! Now is the time to send follow-ups and thank you emails to everyone you exchange contact with. Post your pictures on your social media platforms and be sure to tag people and the conference itself.

Once you and your team are back, host a team meeting and share with them any insightful knowledge and resources you learned about during MJBizCon.
