Want to Help People Get in the Know?

Thank you for being part of Knowleaf. Every day, people are starting to understand more and more about the cannabis industry. They’re learning from the personal experiences of people who are currently working in cannabis, and the vast landscape of the cannabis community itself. They’re also discovering what they need to know from business to business standpoint about inventory and sales (among other things), but also what people need to know from a business to consumer standpoint.

Sharing your perspective from hard-earned, problem-solving techniques is a great way to position yourself as a thought leader in cannabis, make connections, and build your personal brand as an advocate. Let’s get people in the Know!

What We Are Looking For?

We want the Knowleaf community to hear from the many different voices within it, so please consider contributing to our Community Educate blog section. Below are some quick points of what we are looking for when we consider submissions to Knowleaf. The following are key requirements, not suggestions. Read our full Editorial Judgement and Community Garden Rules before submitting your work.

  1. Topics: We like topics that cover technology in cannabis, trends, social equity, investments, startups, marketing, brand marketing. Avoid Press Release type promotions pieces. We specifically like pieces about Metrc, Financial Regulation, anything inventory management or supply chain, etc. .
  2. We like to hear about success stories, trends, advice, and anything supply chain-related. On the flip side, we also want to hear about mistakes and what you learned from them.
  3. Since we place a high value on transparency and authenticity, you need to disclose any financial relationship you have with companies or people for whom you’re writing the piece. It doesn’t need to seem like it came from an attorney; just let the reader know if you’re an employee or the topic is for a client.
  4. References: Share links (embed) to original sources of information (studies, stats, etc).
  5. Length: Pieces should be between 700-1000 words but no more than 1500 words.
  6. Keywords. Use them.
  7. Embedding Knowleaf in your article. Yes, you need to mention us in some way.

  1. Inclusion is also very important to us. Social equity and diversity in the industry are important topics. Keep this in mind.
  2. No overt, OTT self-promotion pieces.
  3. Proofread and spell check, please. We are not providing proofreading services so you will own any typos, spelling, or grammatical mistakes.
  4. Fact check. Make sure what you state is correct.
  5. Be sure that its original content and you have the right to use it, including photos. See the details below.
